“TO RISE WITH THE LARK”

not-an-early-riser

To get up early is so beautiful when it is not an obligation…

To rise early not out of necessity, but as a habit, and accepting this as the most important start of life, to give shape to the days accordingly…

If one loves to start a day,

One will feel the beauty of being alive unexceptionally and trustingly…

Human beings are actually encoded in an archaic system from those days when one left his cave with the sun rise. This coding is still active. More importantly, for all those people who complian for not having enough time to accomplish things, to rise early is the definitive solution. “Early” meaning TO RISE WITH THE LARK.

nasil-erken-uyanilir

Nothing is more “human” than coming into action with the first rays of the sun.

One feels the state of belonging to the nature and grasps this belonging so clearly!

I advise all those people who falsely think themselves incapable of waking up in a vigorous state, that they should readjust their movements to the “sundial”. This means returning home when the sun is setting, sleeping accompanied by the stars and becoming aware of the quilt not as a warm escapade but as a heavy cover…

Although the present habit has become to start the day with an alarm clock, leaving this imprisonment, this authority of time over us, and returning to the archaic rhythm of cohabitation of humans with nature is my dream. Just like what I am experiencing lately…

Because human beings have been taught to memorize everything within structures, I feel that these structures have become our own burdens.

When the alarm rings and its awful sound disturb one’s peace, the meaning of waking up to a new beginning is changed.

I propose that we should not be at peace with the alarm clock, set it right and wake up under its command.

I suggest and I offer the sunny radiance of not having a clock.  If not on the first morning, surely on the next days, waking with the rhythm of the nature without any alarm clock buzzing its way through the ears and into the brain will be welcome by your inner self; it will become a new pleasure in your life, rebelling against the resistant and tough fixity of imprisonment that life has forced you and enjoying a flexibility, a freedom however tiny it may seem at first!

CONNECT to LIFE

206821_1996858409524_1485397876_2297753_1127141_nSome mornings I miss my childhood or maybe even my whole life before “technology” so much;

living with no attachment to the machines like computers, cellphones or even internet…

I miss those times especially when the first thing I have to do is to check my e-mails,

writing notes down on my agenda, and to decide how I’m going to use my day planning by every single hour that I have.

Having no coincidences and suprises in my daily life is breaking me apart…

The hurting part is not living with deadlines or hurry;

just this slavery to our computers and smartphones that we have.

Being unable to use and feel the time and being totally away from that talent ‘to keep in mind’ what we have to do.

Most of my friends forgot to use an agenda; they lost their understanding of calendar and time because of their smartphones.

Life became something that when you hear an alarm informing  you… Something that we connect instead of live it…

Watches are becoming useless and mostly unimportant to have,

or just a symbol of wealth instead of being masters of ‘time’; they loose their meaning day  by day,

because people prefers to check their smartphones and they trust them more than anything else.

watchSo companies try different and joyful ways to make us remember the meaning of watches.

But even they know that watch means ‘money’ not time anymore…

Same issue is a problem also with agendas and such…

agenda1I remember the days that people were so excited to buy a brand new agenda each year.

The importance of the papers quality, the joy to write things down…

“trusting to your own handwriting and trying to write as good as you can”…

In those days, your agenda was your symbol of your charactesrand anything to note down was important.

For example we used to take notes about our friends birthdays, we were checking the days, counting them, waiting for them with no alert needed.

Honestly, I still keep an agenda and I still wear my watches; I still love papers and pencils. But I think each day I’m becoming more “extinct”.

Everyone is asking me ‘why’ I still buy them or use them as we have our cellphones and so on instead…

And my answer is:

I prefer being as human as I can 🙂

I PREFER TO LIVE, INSTEAD OF TO CONNECT TO LIFE.

Being HAPPY and Living LIKE A CHILD

Psychologist divide our life in periods calling them ‘critical periods in development’:

*Toddlerhood:

Babies between ages of one and two are called toddlers. In this stage, intelligence is demonstrated through the use of symbols, language use matures, and memory and imagination are developed. Thinking is done in a non-logical, nonreversible manner. Egocentric thinking predominates.

*Early childhood:

When children attend preschool, they broaden their social horizons and become more engaged with those around them. Impulses are channeled into fantasies, which leaves the task of the caretaker to balance eagerness for pursuing adventure, creativity and self-expression with the development of responsibility. If caretakers are properly encouraging and consistently disciplinary, children are more likely to develop positive self-esteem while becoming more responsible, and will follow through on assigned activities.

*Adolescence:

Adolescence is the period of life between the onset of puberty and the full commitment to an adult social role, such as worker, parent, and/or citizen. It is the period known for the formation of personal and social identity and the discovery of moral purpose. Intelligence is demonstrated through the logical use of symbols related to abstract concepts and formal reasoning. A return to egocentric thought often occurs early in the period.

*Early adulthood:

The person must learn how to form intimate relationships, both in friendship and love. The development of this skill relies on the resolution of other stages. It may be hard to establish intimacy if one has not developed trust or a sense of identity. If this skill is not learned the alternative is alienation, isolation, a fear of commitment, and the inability to depend on others.

*Middle age:

Middle adulthood generally refers to the period between ages 40 to 60. During this period, middle-aged adults experience a conflict between generativity and stagnation. They may either feel a sense of contributing to society, the next generation or their immediate community or a sense of purposelessness.

*Old age:

This stage generally refers to those over 60–100 years. According to Erikson’s Theory of Psychosocial Development, old age is the stage in which individuals assess the quality of their lives. In reflecting on their lives, people in this age group develop a feeling of integrity if deciding that their lives were successful or a feeling of despair if evaluation of one’s life indicates a failure to achieve goals.

BUT WHAT ABOUT SEEING THESE ADULTS PLAYING AS CHILDREN AND BEING FREE MINDED AND ACTING FREE…

That’s the definition of happiness:

breaking all the rules that we have been learned by our social interactions

and

becoming ageless.

Even if we live in a physical world and getting older in a physical meaning;

we actually belong to an emotional world which our thoughts about ages don’t count. We are basicly free to shape our lives without thinking and also blaming our age.

There is no calendar of feelings.

There is no boundaries and rules.

In psychology, Adler became famous by his definitions that he gave:

Adler refused to limit psychology to analysis, making the important point that aspirations look forward and do not limit themselves to unconscious drives or to childhood experiences. He also originated the concepts of lifestyle (1929 — he defined “lifestyle” as an individual’s characteristic approach to life, in facing problems) and of self-image, a concept that influenced management under the heading of work-life balance.

Carl Gustav Jung made contributions to personal development with his concept of individuation, which he saw as the drive of the individual to achieve the wholeness and balance of the Self.

Whatever the nature of his Dream, a young man has the developmental task of giving it greater definition and finding ways to live it out. It makes a great difference in his growth whether his initial life structure is consonant with and infused by the Dream, or opposed to it. If the Dream remains unconnected to his life it may simply die, and with it his sense of aliveness and purpose.

All theoretical and scientific explanations stop in a point that:

LIFE BELONGS US.

WE SHAPE OUR LIVES.

WE SHAPE OUR AGES.

AND BEING HAPPY IS TOTALLY RELATED TO OUR OWN PERSPECTIVE OF LIFE.

If you don’t have (or even if you have) physical disabilities; WALK-RUN-JUMP AND LAUGH ENOUGH TO HEAR YOUR SOUL.

SNOW AND SUN, RAIN AND WIND are just for us. All we have to do is having fun of them with no thinking about our age.

I don’t tell you to act like children:

I suggest you TO FEEL AND BE HAPPY LIKE CHILDREN.

Target Acquisition – Attack – LIFE

551026_10151312295156897_1648604636_n

How your life shall proceed is actually shaped by the power of your imagination…

You may not escape from your consciousness by blaming destiny for how your life shapes itself.

For a smooth and clear journey, one needs to stay focused without giving up and without tiring.

All efforts and targets dissolve and are lost when the focus is lost; your future can not cope with your carelessness.

Any distraction from the initial target or distraction will take away from you all previous achievements.

If anyone should wonder if life is actually an ongoing test, I would propose a different definition and call it archery:

there needs to be a target to start with, then there are specific calculations to follow.

Calculations are not sufficient to meet the target, concentration is needed;

there needs to be a commitment, firm concentration where the hands should not shake, the body should not get tired.

Then you will see that your body is in full control of your soul to reach that direction;

you will see that even your breath will be tuned in with that objective and that you aim and make that mark disregarding the luxury of giving up.

Not hitting the goal is never an excuse to give up.

One always tries again and with more concentration and every miss is an experience, not a failure…

In this worldly theater, virtues are not achieved by strictly following the lines, but are the gifts of committed  experiences.

Ascension is related to experiencing rather than obeying…

PMS..Pre Monday Syndrome (Sunday)

1939323_f248

“Monday?! But I wasn’t done with my weekend!!”

First day of the week, of the school, of the work,…

But the drama begins on Sunday afternoon, approximately at 4pm 🙂

Agenda begins to scream with responsabilities and appointments that we have to remember for whole week!

And we loose our left hours and joy by an unneccessary anxiety and fear, and even with a bleeding aggressive attitude toward people around us.

Do they help us?

Absolutely nothing can change the facts.

So we need to find a way for self-motivation and relaxation.

And I am not talking about any medication here.

Acceptance and forgiveness are the key words for an easier life…

We can’t change the time, we are not even closer to stop it too. So we need to accept the fact that the time will continue against our wishes, but it is in our hands to make it valuable and priceless by living our days noticing their uniqueness. We do not have any useless or meaningless day in our life time. There is no chance to restart a lost day. So we need to shape our feelings and thoughts to be able to live and feel what we have.

Let me introduce you ‘SUNDAY’ :

Day of the Sun

The name of the first day of the week, is derived from Egyptian astrology. The seven planets, known to us as Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon, each had an hour of the day assigned to them, and the planet which was regent during the first hour of any day of the week gave its name to that day. During the first and second century the week of seven days was introduced into Rome from Egypt, and the Roman names of the planets were given to each successive day. The Teutonic nations seem to have adopted the week as a division of time from the Romans, but they changed the Roman names into those of corresponding Teutonic deities. Hence the dies Solis became Sunday. Sunday was the first day of the week according to the Jewish method of reckoning, but for Christians it began to take the place of the Jewish Sabbath in Apostolic times as the day set apart for the public and solemn worship of God.

These and similar indications show that during the first three centuries practice and tradition had consecrated the Sunday to the public worship of God by the hearing of the Mass and the resting from work.

To sum up, we can easily understand that Sunday is the ultimate chance for a peaceful mind and soul both religiously and socially. It’s a day to rest and to enjoy. It’s a chance to think and to analyze our past six days. It’s a day to dream and to pray for next six days. It is not related to our inner dead ends…

Do not be afraid of Monday, because as you have read in my previous paragraph :

Sunday is already the first day of the week, and as it is a holiday, you can see it as orientation for the rest 😉

Have a nice Sunday!
